Veggiest Wants You to Celebrate World Vegetarian Week!

Veggiest is back after a brief hiatus and just in time for World Vegetarian Week (May 19 - 25).

This week is the perfect opportunity to think about making more vegetable-friendly dietary choices. We love the quote from Sir Paul McCartney, and couldn't agree more: “If anyone wants to save the planet, all they have to do is just stop eating meat. That’s the single most important thing you could do. It’s staggering when you think about it. Vegetarianism takes care of so many things in one shot: ecology, famine, cruelty.”

Perhaps you could consider PETA's Top Ten Reasons Not to Eat Meat. If you find those reasons intriguing enough (and you should), sign up to receive a FREE Vegetarian Starter Kit from GoVeg.com, a great resource for learning more about the vegetarian lifestyle.

While World Vegetarian Week is a great reason to start thinking about going Veg, you certainly don't need a holiday to consider all the benefits of a meat-free lifestyle, any day is great day to do something positive for yourself, the planet, and animals everywhere.
