Movies
-- The repertory series Une Liaison Francaise opens with a pair of dirty movies, both starring Jeanne Moreau. The Lovers (1958), Louis Malle's explicit exploration of marital infidelity, screens with Jules and Jim (1962), Francois Truffaut's story of a bizarre love triangle. Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge. Tickets and showtimes.
-- The first double feature in the Unseen Noir series unreels tonight. He Ran All the Way (1951) and Try and Get Me (1950) are flickering examples that film noir was even more nuanced than you thought. Harvard Film Archive, Carpenter Center, 24 Quincy St., Cambridge, 7:00pm. $8/$6.
Wrestling
-- It's not often that Bostonist recommends taking a Zipcar to Framingham, but CHIKARA Pro Wrestling might well be worth it. Featuring pro wrestlers from the U.S., Japan, Europe, and Mexico -- some with more than 20 years of in-ring experience -- CHIKARA offers a more diverse palette of moves and holds than the typical night of WWE. Watch for the stars of Boston's Kaiju Big Battel. Framingham Civic League, 214 Concord St., Framingham, 7:00pm. $15.
Modern Orchestra
-- The Boston Modern Orchestra Project presents Armenia Resounding: A tribute to composer Alan Hovhaness. Hovhaness, a Boston native, writes self-consciously Armenian music, which has been described as religious and mystical. BMOP plays three of his works and two newly commissioned pieces by Armenian composers Vache Sharafyan and Tigran Mansurian. Jordan Hall, New England Conservatory, 30 Gainsborough St., 8:00pm. $10-$48.
