Saturday Happenings

mr_lif.jpgHip-hop

-- Hip hop veteran Edo G presents the second annual Unity Fest, organized to stop handgun violence. Mr. Lif, Akrobatik, Termanology, and Special Teamz rock the stage. Paradise Rock Club, 967 Comm. Ave., 7:00pm. $15.

LARPing Hipsters

-- What they lack in 10-sided die, they make up for with make-up. It's another Zombie March, apparently Boston's fourth. There are many, many rules that participants are supposed to follow, so you would do well to consult the Facebook page before suiting up. Begins at South Station, 2:00pm. Free. More information.

Dancing Hipsters

-- Basstown, one of Boston's most prolific hipster dance crews, presents Drop the Line. The event features DJs Die Young and Volvox, who will rock the "Trouble and Bass." Great Scott, 1222 Comm. Ave., Allston, 9:00pm. $5/$7.

Sailing

-- Boston has warmed up enough that sailing no longer sounds like a lunatic proposition. The Boston Sailing Center is offering free rides in the Harbor all afternoon. Boston Sailing Center, Lewis Wharf, 1:00pm-5:00pm. Free.

Free Culture, Bereavement

-- Bostonist suspects that reports of DRM's death have been great exaggerated, but that won't stop the Harvard Free Culture kids from mourning it ironically. An iPod and its black-sheep cousin Zune have already been entombed in concrete, and we're all invited to the burial. JFK Park, Cambridge, 6:30 pm. Free. (CF)
