Series of Tubes

-- Brett Rosenberg, former guitar-slinger for local band The Rudds, moved to Nashville last year; but Brett must be hankering to do a Boston show in June because he's put himself on the auction block. What started out as $50 for a 45 minute set has mysteriously ballooned to $199.99, but he'll still play anywhere in a 50-mile radius --a perfect gift for Father's Day or your sister's bat mitzvah. You have until tonight to swoop in (no bids, currently). [eBay]
-- Speaking of auction blocks, kudos to WGBH for having their fundraising auction mainly online. By way of contrast, Bostonist tried to watch some of WENH's televised auction and wondered if Gitmo was as bad. Some items are still available through the end of the month. [WGBH Auction]
-- The solar-powered rockers at EarthFest were cool, but the audience should've at least picked up after itself. [On Your Feet Project Blog]
-- After EarthFest, someone ran into the Zombie March on its way to Newbury Street. [TrinKnitty]
-- Yeah, there were a lot of commencement speakers around town recently, but only one sang "Easy Lover" with Phil Collins. [Berklee College of Music]
-- 17-year locusts in MA? No one mentioned cicadas--or any other biblical plagues--to this Bostonist when we moved here (fewer than 17 years ago). Although they've only been spotted near the Cape at this point, there's a site dedicated to cicada sightings. Add yours! [Massachusetts Cicadas, Map]

Thanks for the OYFP blog mention - the EarthFest (while fun), really was quite a trashy event.
