Bostonist spent our first few years in Boston constantly lost, because we were too embarrassed to admit that we didn't have the first clue how navigate the Hub's cowpaths. (Back then Mapquest was as confused as we were, and Google Maps didn't exist. Yes, we've been here since the dark ages.) Point being, Boston holds many mysteries, and unfortunately, queries about those mysteries are often met with a frustrating answer of, "You're not from around here, are ya?"

Which is where we come in! Do you want to know the difference between Southie and the South End? The reason some delis are called spas? Where to find a good feather boa? Email us, and we'll track down the answer for you. We promise not to mock you as a noob or a pink hat, as long as you promise not to lord your newfound knowledge over those even newer than you.

After all, Bostonist has lived here for a decade, and we just found a quicker route to South Station last week. The beauty of a city this confusing is that we're always learning.
