She's gauzelicious! Everyone's favorite baby mama, Bridget Moynahan, dons a sexy red dress to play housewife for Harper's Bazaar. In the featured photo (hilarious caption: Got MILF?), she's whipping up a tasty treat while drying baby Jack's laundry in the kitchen. Is her house really so cramped that she needs a clothesline in the kitchen? We say Tom oughta pay up and get the lady some space--or at least a dryer--but maybe he blew all his bucks on the space-age high chair. The rest of the photo spread features gems like a creepy combo of lingerie and baby bottle, as well as high heels that no one would wear grocery shopping. Moynahan definitely looks like a different kind of mommy.
In the feature, however, Moynahan admits, “I have become that mother I used to dread,” which she proves by making darling generic comments about Jack like "Don’t you want to just eat him up? That smile! And that drool!" We bet he's got his daddy's saliva. Aww!
According to the story, "Moynahan never imagined that she’d wind up a yummy mummy without a hubby." That's an important observation to make, because so many girls are out there getting pregnant with the plan that the father will dump them for a supermodel soon before they pop out the little one. We know that's always been our dream!
Moynahan fondly recalls how she was "creating life on a daily basis" during her pregnancy. (And not just life--dreamy life.) Life creation must really be Moynahan's thing, because she can't wait "to have another one.” Oh, delightful! Which quarterback will it be with this time?
Maybe the new daddy will be a rockstar instead. Music is important to Moynahan, who shares favorites like Eddie Vedder, Frank Sinatra, and Crosby, Stills & Nash (but apparently not Young) with her son. Adult music is important, because “You wake up in the middle of the night singing ‘Rainbow Connection’ one too many times and you just want to jump out the window.” Don't do it, Bridgey! Jack needs you!
The scintillating story ends with Moynahan's revelation that she has "a date with a much younger man." Scandalous, you'd think--but it turns out she's just referring to her son! O-ho! We haven't had such a good laugh in a long time.
As for the Yummy Mummy moniker, we hope it sticks.
