Boston Blotter: Teen Girl Abducted, Assaulted on Cape

102207-party-police.jpg-- Scott Pereira, 30, of Dennis was arraigned today on charges that he kidnapped a 15-year-old girl from her home and raped her. Police say that Pereira entered the victim's room after midnight May 11th, as she slept, and abducted her by knifepoint. He faces charges of rape of a child with force, indecent assault, and armed burglary. [Globe]

-- The Herald reports that Christopher McCowen, the convicted murderer of fashion writer Christa Worthington, was stabbed in prison yesterday. The alleged perpetrator, a 58-year-old man whom authorities have not identified, used a seven-inch-long shiv to shank McCowen, who was hospitalized. McCowen was convicted in 2006 for the rape and murder of Worthington in her Truro home. [Herald]

-- Three Cambridge municipal workers were indicted on charges that they sold cocaine and OxyContin from their Water Department truck while on the clock. [Cambridge Chronicle]

-- Five women were arrested yesterday on Blue Hill Avenue in a prostitution sting. Police report that two of the women engaged in a brief altercation before loading in to an undercover officer's unmarked car. As the BPDNews scribe put it, "Alas, they did not realize that they were fighting to go to jail." [BPDNews]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
