Sports Redux: All Quiet on the Western Front

ihatelavintagetee.jpg
It was night of rest for the hometown teams. The Celtics are leading the NBA Finals 2 – 0 and they’ll be live from The Staple Center tonight for Game 3. If the Celtics were looking for another reason to beat the Lakers, they can look no further than Lamar Odem.

Lamar is selling 'Boston Sucks' shirts. He's teamed up with Undefeated (a sneaker store) to sell shirts at $20 a pop, with a portion of the sales going to the charity he started after the death of his mother. We're sure she's very proud of her son.

The Orioles are in town tonight to play the Sox, and, just a friendly reminder, game time is at 6:05. Josh Beckett will take the hill against Daniel Cabrera. Considering past experiences when Cabrera is on the mound, it should be very interesting.

Lamar Odom is playing in this series?

Oh, snap!

That shirt sucks, imho.

RobV, The shirts are just weak. That's the best they could do? Boston Sucks? *shakes head*

I bet selling those shirts will be the most ever raised for his charity(and I'm interested in knowing how much actually goes to charity)....which, I hope they find out is a sham one day.

To be perfectly fair, "Beat L.A." is a pretty weak idea for a shirt, too. It's been 20 years and, come on, our creative city should be able to come up with something much better than that. Those are just as bad.

Mac: That's a valid point. But I can understand the reason why they've stuck with it, historically speaking.
