The Hub-o-sphere: Series of Tubes 2.0

Welcome to The Hub-o-sphere! Nothing on the internet is sacred for long and Bostonist is giving our beloved feature A Series of Tubes a well-deserved 2.0 makeover. We've got new contributers, a new name, and a brand new aquatic mascot, but we're still dedicated to bringing you the best from the Boston blogosphere every Tuesday. If you've got a hot Boston blog-to-watch tip, leave it in the comments.
-- Jealous you didn't get a chance to chat with Lewis Black when he came to town like Bostonist did? You might not be able to sneak in your marriage proposal, but at least you can still get his autograph. [Beantown Bloggery]
-- First, we brought you news of Obama getting the LOLcat treatment; now he's gone Bollywood. He may be wearing a coat of Bollywood dancers, but at least they didn't put him in a turban. [Secretly Ironic]
-- And in the most important news of the day... The Village People are reuniting at the Topsfield Fair! You have until October 9th to get back into leather chaps-wearing shape and dust off that headdress. [Wicked Local]
-- What do you do when you're waiting for the MBTA on a hot summer day and the wind catches your skirt and blows it up for all commuters to see? Write a poem about it, naturally. [Peg Righteous]
-- If the heat is getting you down, get the forecast fast and straight with Ollie Williams of Channel 5 Action News from "Family Guy." [BlaccuWeather]
-- A fun bit of Celtics-Lakers trivia: the "Beat LA" chant may actually have been born in Philly. [Boston, You're My Home]
-- Fell in love on the MBTA but find Craigslist Missed Connections so passé? Now there's a new way to tell that hot chick who sneezed in your face on the red line how you feel. [Boston Subway Crush]

It wasn't "born in Philly" since that game was played in Boston. It was directed at Philly.
