Boston Blotter: Baby Shot, Boy Stabbed in Mattapan

-- A five-month-old baby was shot last night in her father's arms in their Mattapan apartment. Alianna Peguero is in critical condition at Boston Medical Center, and her injuries were severe enough that Boston's homicide squad is investigating the shooting. Her father, Alinson Peguero, 46, was shot in the hand. Police believe that the shooting is part of an ongoing gang dispute that took the life of Alan Peguero, Alianna's half-brother, last September in the family's Dorchester convenience store.
