While that might not be the column I'd write before a potential title-clincher, he did have a couple of valid points. Game five was there for the taking and the Celtics let it slip away. They should have finished off Kobe and the gang in L.A. when the chance presented itself. They have chance two tonight. And, Shaughnessy is correct in thinking they better get it done tonight.

JD Drew didn't play for the Phillies, he was drafted by them, refused to sign, went back into the draft the next year and was taken by the Cardinals. That's why they were booing him....

Shaughnessy's column today made me wish I subscribed to the Globe so I could cancel it. What a waste of time and paper and electricity.
