Something old, something new is the trend in and outside of Boston as of late. A Newbury Street favorite is back and looking better than before, and just north of the city, a frugal fashionista’s pleas have been answered.
Karmaloop’s flagship store has recently reopened and is as fabulous as the clothes they sell. The newly designed 2,000 square foot store features a modern Victorian design and is filled with street wear for men and women. We recently popped into the new location and were thoroughly impressed. And we’re still holding out hope we’ll find that elusive Courtney Guitar-Strap bag we’ve been searching for these last few years hiding in the back.
For you Bostonist readers who have wheels and not afraid to stray outside the city for a bargain, Steve & Barry’s opened a store in Danvers. The great thing about their clothes? Nothing is over 30 dollars. Everything from shoes to shirts at a discount rate. With the way our economy is, this is exactly what some of us need. The staple line at Steve & Barry’s is Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bitten. It’s not only the women who are getting good deals; men can join in and pick up clothing courtesy of surfing legend Laird Hamilton or golfer Bubba Watson.
We’ve been hearing rumors that Steve & Barry’s might be opening a store in Downtown Crossing, but nothing has been confirmed.
