Monday Happenings

silverapples.jpgOscillations

-- Silver Apples, who released two albums between 1967 and 1969, were what happened when hippies got their hands on synthesizers: droney, loopy swirls of electronic pop. Since then, the duo reunited and suffered from tragedy (original drummer Danny Taylor died in 2005 and Simeon, the synthesizer player, broke his neck in 2004). Simeon now plays a limited schedule of shows as a single Apple. TT the Bear's Place, 10 Brookline St., Cambridge, 9:00pm. $10.

Midnite Cruisers

-- Steely Dan has long been a not-so-guilty pleasure for the sorts of people who own more than a thousand vinyl records. Bank of America Pavilion, 290 Northern Ave., 7:30pm. $45-$85.

Rollerskate Jams

-- The Derby Dames get behind the wheels of steel to spin 80s dance music to accompany a screening of a documentary, presumably about them. Free bowling, too. Milky Way, 403 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 9:00pm. Free.
