Wednesday Happenings
Jock Jams
-- The Euro Cup is over, so Jamaica Plain residents might be puzzled to hear Zombie Nation's "Kernkraft 400" wafting over Centre Street. More euro than trash, Zombie Nation makes throbbing dance music that isn't entirely moronic but is unafraid to be popular. Royalties must work differently in the EU; we thought Zombie Nation would be landing at the Acropolis in a golden helicopter, not rocking a Boston basement. With DJs Baltimoroder and Lone Wolf. Milky Way Lounge & Lanes, 405 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 9:00pm. $10.
Booze Cruises
-- Have you ever seen Lee "Scratch" Perry? Have you ever seen Lee "Scratch" Perry on a boat? The master of the reggae dub sets sail tonight. Let's hope the boat makes it past U.S. coastal waters; last time Bostonist caught the diminutive Upsetter, he managed to finish three stuffed cigars by the end of his set. Mass. Bay Lines, Rowes Wharf, 7:15, 8:00pm departure. $40.
Trailer Park Music
-- English folktronica phenomenon Beth Orton plays two shows tonight. Museum of Fine Arts, 7:00pm and 9:00pm. $25/$20.
Happenings that Make Us Uncomfortable
-- ImprovBoston hosts the Naked Comedy Showcase. We recommend packing condoms for your eyes. ImprovBoston Theatre, 40 Prospect St., Cambridge, 10:00pm. $10.
