We Like Our Video, Online and Off

A recent Neilsen survey found that Americans love the internet (and especially online video), but still spend plenty of time watching TV. The Times summarizes:

The average American spent 127 hours of time with TV in May, up from 121 hours in May 2007; and 26 hours on the Internet, up from 24 hours last year. More than 282 million people watch television in a given month and nearly 162 million use the Internet.

We're a little boggled by the idea of spending 101 more hours of TV time than internet time--are hours at work being counted here, or does not everyone surf as much in the office as we do)? Mostly what this means is that we're going to see more ads online (especially in videos), but not fewer ads on TV. Let's hear it for ad saturation!
