ACLU Disses FISA Amendments
Blue Mass Group notes that the ACLU is suing the government for upholding wiretapping and other forms of surveillance that violate our civil liberties. As the ACLU describes it, "The FISA Amendments Act nearly eviscerates oversight of government surveillance by allowing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) to review only general procedures for spying rather than individual warrants... The bill further trivializes court review by authorizing the government to continue a surveillance program even after the government’s general spying procedures are found insufficient or unconstitutional by the FISC." The bill essentially makes it possible for the government to spy on any of us, and also releases companies who spied on us from responsibility. More on FISA from ACLU.

I don't understand why they are even calling it the FISA because they already have all the power they need for foreign intelligence, This Bill needs to be called what it is, The Disa Bill for Domestic Spying The Domestic Intelligence Surveillance Act. And by giving the telcoms Immunity for the past, they have only opened the door to use whatever telcom they want for future spying without warrants, using for free what we the people Pay for! Wake up People!! They want all power over us, it is not about keeping us safe, it is about Money, Greed, and Power as usual. and having to answer to no one! for their Wrongs! I cannot believe the televised news coverage even report on it at all, because by the time they did it was to late for the people to do anything about it, by the time the people actually understand what this means, there is nothing they can do about it. I do not blame the Democrats, They have been Blocked at everything good the have tried to do! and filibustered at every angle, Of course the American People want to be protected from Terrorist, But this was mostly a scare tactic, to get the bill passed, and it worked! Now we will reap the consequences. They will chew the Innocent up with the guilty as usual. So time to limit Internet usage for me, I can't even imagine how many innocent Americans, will be accused of wrong doing, and their lives ruined because of this bill,
