While I don't doubt that a Mainer could swim six miles to shore, this guy actually didn't (as the link story clearly explains). His boat sank six miles off-shore; he was picked up nearby.

 

The chairman of Cambridge College's Board of Trustees, Jonathan Larsen, is former editor of New Times magazine and the Village Voice. Shouldn't he respect anonymous free speech instead of trying to muzzle it?

Since it's been a few days, I'm sure that lobsterman is telling it like he was walking to shore when that boat picked him up...

I totally agree with you. Something like this happened at my high school. They could address the issues and leave it at that, but authority loves to punish dissent. No?

I bet they think it's a staff memeber or faculty...
