Boston Blotter: Murder in Roxbury
-- Deadly violence in Boston continued unabated as a man was found shot to death in Roxbury early this morning. Police say that Alex Burgos, 22, of Boston, was shot multiple times on Ditmus Court, near the intersection of Tremont and Lenox. No motive has been advanced for the killing and no arrests have been made. [BPDNews]
-- Police arrested a 20-year-old Dorchester man on charges that he shot someone late Sunday night. Police say they found the suspect after following a trail of blood from his abandoned car. [BPDNews]
-- "Cadillac Frank" Salemme, the former Mafia boss and former confederate of Whitey Bulger, just received a sentence of five years for lying to federal investigators. Salemme, who had been cooperating with the government in the case against Bulger and Steve "the Rifleman" Flemmi, told investigators that he had no knowledge regarding the disappearance of South Boston nightclub owner Steven DiSarro. According to prosecutors, Salemme watched his son murder DiSarro and helped dispose of his body. [Globe]
-- Somerville police are looking for Wayne D. Bolduc Jr., a 32-year-old man who is wanted in connection with a non-fatal stabbing that happened Sunday night on Temple Street. [Somerville Journal]
-- A Boston cop was arrested in Florida over the Fourth of July holiday on charges that he drunkenly choked his wife. Antonio Rotger, 54, was placed on administrative leave. [Herald]
-- A 39-year-old Dorchester woman was not content to commit one crime at a time. A salad shoplifting at a Dorchester Lambert's resulted in her arrest on 26 outstanding warrants. [BPDNews]
