Boston Blotter: Hit-and-Run Suspect is Arraigned

-- Michael Faria of Stoughton was arraigned today on multiple charges, including vehicular homicide, for the hit-and-run fatality on Saturday in Easton after turning himself in yesterday. Faria may have been text-messaging at the time of the incident. [Boston Globe]

-- In what may be the most amusing chase of recent memory, a bicycle thief that was first spotted in the North End ditched the bike to run across the bridge into Charlestown then decided to jump off into Boston Harbor. -- Former stripper and A-Rod fling, Candice Houlihan of Wakefield was arrested by in regards to outstanding warrants for driving with a suspended registration and driving without insurance. (He sure knows how to pick 'em.) [Reading Advocate]

-- Authorities are looking for the sicko that put a cat in a microwave. Both ears have been amputated, and it's unclear whether the cat will recover. [Boston Herald]
