Stamping Out Food Stamp Confusion

The state says it has made it easier for people who merit food stamps to get them by simplifying the application process, expanding Food Stamp Outreach Centers, and extending certification periods, among other measures. Medical deductions are now being offered as well. Apparently every food stamp dollar spent in the state generates $1.84 in additional economic activities, so stamp away!

Preaching a socialist ideal doesn't really seem like a good idea.

The $1.84 figure is a joke. For each dollar, one dollar is traded. This whole additional economic activity number is a joke.

One of every 13 Americans receives an average of $100 in money for food each month. We pay for their healthcare. We spend more for kids to go to elementary school than public college in some states. How is any of this affordable?

Answer: It's not.

Yay, politicians who think that paying off poor people for votes will work. It makes us all poorer. I'm really sick of this trend of Gov. Patrick and the belief that food stamps is altruistic. No. It's a bureaucracy. Really charity comes from the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Church, and such---where their money is collected from people who willingly give it and not with the non-existent money.
