Boston Blotter: BPD Shoots Suspect in Drug Bust
-- An undercover Boston police officer shot an 18-year-old suspected drug dealer during a sting operation last night. Ariel Lara Aguasiva of Jamaica Plain was riding in the passenger seat of a car where an alleged heroin deal went down. When stopped by a marked police car, Aguasiva turned violent, according to police, and was subdued after a gunshot to his chest. He was treated and released by Massachusetts General Hospital. Aguasiva and Jorge Luis Ortiz Lara, 22, of Palmer, face a host of charges related to the incident. [BPDNews]
-- Four thugs stole a litter of pit bull pups at knifepoint from a couple in Quincy. [Herald]
-- The apparently kidnapped passenger involved in Monday's high speed chase down I-93 has recanted her story. Sonya Centofanti-Howes, 41, now says that her fiancee Sandra Howes, 42, did not assualt her. Howes, who police say hurled racial slurs at hospital personnel after her capture, has had restraining orders taken out against her by four different women since 1995. [Herald]
