-- Now that Good Time Emporium has closed, the people of Somerville have sought out new venues to hold their melees. Police broke up the proceedings and arrested two. [Somerville Journal]

-- A lethal package of heroin might be circulating through the underground economy and the veins of drug addicts in New Bedford. [WBZTV]

-- Tensions between the two towns may be at an all time high after a 32-year-old Cambridge man allegedly threatened a Somervillian with a knife in Porter Square because of the music blasting from his convertible. The 21-year-old victim escaped the attack, driving over the alleged attacker and leaving him bleeding from both legs. [Cambridge Chronicle]

-- Central Square turned into a mob scene Saturday when a group of 200 rampaged through the streets. The Central Square Wendy's reported no loss in revenue, but somebody lifted a bottle of Coke from the CVS. [Cambridge Chronicle]

wow, i was sleeping during the market basket brawl, but i was near central square late on saturday... must've just missed that mayhem.

I was at home at the time but didn't hear a darn thing.

Then again, that Wendy's is the epicenter of juvie rumbles.

I love how a chief concern is not the potential riot, but a missing bottle of pop from the CVS. I don't really believe it, as they sometime keep the pop by the door and it would be all too easy for anyone, mob-related or not, to lift a bottle as they walked out.
