Restaurant Week Preview: Persephone

achilles-persephone.gifRestaurant Week Pick: Persephone
[283 Summer Street; 617-695-2257. Lunch and dinner.]

After a drawn-out construction process led to a near-explosive buildup of hype around the newcomer at 283 Summer Street, the Achilles Project retail space and its in-house restaurant, Persephone, have more than delivered on their promise of a hip, integrated Fort Point hangout. Chef Michael Leviton (of Newton neighborhood fave Lumiere) has built a sophisticated small-plates menu around sustainably farmed and sourced ingredients, cooked in a kitchen outfitted with the latest in energy-saving and composting technology, and served at cozy communal tables or out in the minimalist lounge alongside Wii games and 3.1 Philip Lim dresses. We hope the level of hipness seen in this space is a harbinger of what’s to come for Fort Point.

Restaurant Week previews by Ryan Rose Weaver. Restaurant Week(s) run August 10-15 and 17-22.

This is exactly the kind of restaurant I'd want to open - earth friendly, fun, and most importantly, delicious! (Well, i'm assuming the food is good... I'll find out soon enough).

This looks de-lish! I'm excited! Thanks!
