When Bostonist arrived at the Hendrick's-sponsored Beantown Bartender Battle last night, we found a table piled with gleaming cocktail shakers, cans of Barritt's ginger beer, copious bottles of gin, Pimm's No. 1, and our favorite saints, Germain and Elizabeth. And that was the tip of the iceberg.
Bostonist cornered Joy "Bourbon Belle" Richard, who graciously offered us a perplexingly delicious sip of Nobody's Darling—which turned out to be everybody's darling, winning first place in the evening's competition—and revealed its secrets:
1 oz Hendrick's gin
1/2 oz yellow Chartreuse
1/2 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz fresh celery juice (use a juicer; do not use a Cuisinart)
1 oz angelica-infused honey
Garnish with lemon peel simmered in honey. Damn. (C. Fernsebner)

ahhh! evan! i love him.
I've shamefully, inexplicably never been to the Independent. But I hear he makes some drink with Campari and rye and something; got to try that.
