Due to rain, Friday night’s game was postponed. For those of you who had tickets, you can use them on September 13th for a day/night double header. Paul Byrd will make his debut in a Red Sox uniform tonight and look for Josh Beckett to pitch on Sunday. Who knows if these extra days off will work in the favor of Clay Buchholz, he’s had one miserable outing after another and we won’t be seeing him until he throw against Baltimore on Wednesday. Game time is at 7:05 and Roy Halladay, the human pterodactyl according to Robby Roadsteamer, will be on the hill for the Blue Jays.
In Olympic news, Michael Phelps is one away of smashing Mark Spitz’s record. Tyson Gay failed in the qualifying round to make it to the finals of the Men’s 100 meter dash, thus all of the hype surrounding him running against Jamaica was all for not. The Redeem Team steam rolled over Spain this morning, 119-82. Currently, The United States is in the lead of the medal count, with 54.
Tomorrow night, game two of Patriots pre-season football. The Pats head down the Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers. Where this is pre-season, no word on what team will play or if Brady or Moss will make an appearance during the game or if Matt Cassel will attempt to redeem himself after last weeks awful performance against the Ravens.
