Instead of making you take a style quiz that has nothing to do with fashion or making you carry a few copies of the 798 page September 2008 Vogue, this Bostonist has decided to talk about what you might want to wear under your new fall fashions and a new store on the horizion that any fashionista would love!
Before everyone wanted their own sneaker and then they want you to wear their clothes; now everyone wants to make sure their name is on your unmentionable too. The Queen of the Strip Tease and the woman who helped bring Wardrobe Malfunction into the lexicon are both launching lingerie lines, Dita Von Teese for Wonder Bra and Janet Jackson with Australian design, Bruno Schiavi. Von Teese’s line, which debuts towards the end of September, will have quick release magnetic clasps for the girl who needs to get naked in a matter of seconds. Jackson’s line is being released in November, will feature pieces under 40 dollars and will fit everyone up to a size G! Miss Janet, if you’re nasty, named her line after her 1987 hit, Pleasure Principle.
Neiman Marcus’s Cusp is finally opening next week and Bostonist will be covering the store’s grand opening party on the 28th. Cusp carries everyone from Marc Jacobs to Milly and there will be some special appearances by some of the designers they carry at the store. Inder Bedi, designer of the vegan friendly line Matt & Nat, will be there for a meet and greet the day the store opens. Check out Cusp’s blog for more details for this event and others.
Finally, if you’ve ever wanted to know what the person next to you is wearing, take a gander over at Beyond Boston Chic and they’ll help you out with the rest.
