Wednesday Happenings

xiu-xiu.jpgDigital Bookmobile

-- It's not clear why a digital service needs to have a "Bookmobile," but OverDrive, an audiobook checkout service, is taking a Digital Bookmobile tour across the country. They'll be at the BPL today demonstrating how you can use your library card to download books online. Pretty cool. BPL members can try out the process here. Boston Public Library, 700 Boylston, all day long. (KS)

Dancing Queer Hipsters

-- DJs Dafna, Patrick, and Stella present Gross Anatomy, a queer dance party. The event's Myspace website, with its crazy animated Madonna .gif, should tell you all that you need to know in advance. It's free, even for those who are straight and incognito. Milky Way Lounge and Lanes, 405 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain 9 p.m. Free.

Those people have a high pain tolerance. Performing with Carla Bozulich's Evangelista, an act that was just picked to chair the Department of Scratchy Cello at Goth University. Paradise Rock Club, 967 Comm. Ave., 7 p.m. $15.
