McCain Snubs Romney; Picks Alaska's Governor

Let's face it: No one really expected presidential candidate John McCain and aspiring presidential candidate/former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney to kiss and make up. But McCain surprised everyone by choosing Alaska governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate.

The local response is, to put it mildly, mystified. Media Nation's Dan Kennedy has already called Palin "Dan Quayle in a Skirt." Bostonist admittedly doesn't know much about Pailn, except that she bears a vague resemblance to Tina Fey.

Meanwhile, disgraced, dubious senator Ted Stevens licks his lips at the prospect of more pork coming his way.
