Saturday Happenings

kingdom-come.jpgSchooners

-- You have to hop the Commuter Rail (or, you know, drive), but Gloucester's Schooner Festival is worth it, if you are a boats fanatic like Bostonist is. Events will take place all day long, racing begins at 1 p.m. Free.

Festivals

-- St. Anthony's Feast is the largest celebration of Italian heritage in New England. And it's a good reason not to drive a car anywhere near the North End. Food, lights, traditional music: You know the drill. Events listed here, but beware of the auto-play soundtrack. North End, all day. Free.

Dancing Hipsters

-- Kingdom Come, a dance night to celebrate the arrival of NYC's DJ Kingdom, features some of Boston's best deck monkeys: DJs Ghostdad, Die Young, and Volvox. Great Scott, 1222 Comm. Ave., Allston, 9 p.m. $5.
