-- The 100 Innings of Baseball Marathon sort of explains itself. It's a benefit for Lou Gehrig's disease research, and it lasts until people are sick of baseball. Adams Field, Merrymount Parkway, Quincy. All Day.

Harbor Art

-- A collection of 10 encampments on Bumpkin Island promise unique art experiences tied to the land and history of the Boston Harbor Islands. 10 groups of artists received grants from the Berwick Research Institute and Studio Soto, a South End gallery, to live on Bumpkin for a week and install site-specific, temporary art projects. Bumpkin Island, Boston Harbor Islands national park, through Monday. Admission is free; ferry ticket costs $14.

Music

-- Blues Control, an NYC band with a kitchen-sink approach to weirdness, makes music that sounds like the kind of lullabies you would play for your infant if you were conducting a developmental psychology experiment. Milky Way Lounge, 403 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 9 p.m. Free.
