The Patriots confirmed our worst fears at a 3:00 press conference. Tom Brady's going to need knee surgery. He's going on the Injured Reserve list and is finished for the season. The Pats are already bringing in former Tampa Bay QB Chris Simms for a tryout to back up (replace?) Matt Cassel. Doug Flutie's probably still available, too, if it comes to that.
