Tony the Bookie seems to us like more of an artist than a bookie, but he does "book" shows at PA's Lounge in addition to making music. This month, Tony and his orchestra have a residency at the Plough & Stars, playing every Thursday night with a different opener. Tonight, it's our friends Muy Cansado, whose funky, upbeat grooves will pair nicely with Tony the Bookie's more expansive psych-rock. Next week Tony plays with Chorus of Arrows, and September 25 is Beatles Night (!) with Tony, his orchestra, and Drug Rug.
