If the mad amount of free music available this weekend somehow doesn't do it for you, try PA's Lounge tonight for a reasonably priced and ridiculously awesome show. Arbouretum does not hail from JP (they're Baltimore boys), but the band's dark, grungy grooves are as relaxing and rewarding as an afternoon in the arboretum. The Virginia brothers of Pontiak create down-home psychedelic grooves for those of us who like our country served up with a side of crazy (train). And Boston-based (Allston, really) Thalia Zedek has been growling great tunes since before most of us were born. It promises to be a wild, unstructured, unguided ride through dark forests of rock.
