Farewell to Trans Fats

Major Food Sources of Trans Fat for American Adults (Average Daily Trans Fat Intake is 5.8 Grams or 2.6 Percent of Calories)

As of today, trans fats are banned in Boston. The measure was taken to protect our health, but looking at this graph, we see that all of our favorite things (like PIE... and margarine!) are the main trans fat components of our diet, and we weep. To keep the trans fats low, focus on vegetable-based oils and soft margarines, which are less trans-filled than hard margarines, and turn your attention to fish instead of red meat.
