David Foster Wallace Committed Suicide

Novelist David Foster Wallace committed suicide this weekend at his home in Claremont, California. The Amherst College graduate's major work, Infinite Jest, was set in Boston. We'll have more on this tragedy tomorrow.

    such a horrible loss. David Foster Wallace was an immense talent, arguably the best writer to emerge in the past 20 years. I'm glad I had a chance to see him read -- at a book signing at the Boston Public Library after A Supposedly Fun Thing... was released. I've been thinking about that, and Infinite Jest, a lot the past 24 hrs. damn.
