Sadly, we missed out on Leland Sundries' nice show this week at the Lily Pad. It makes us shake our fist at ourselves for such foolishness. The band has been described as "Lou Reed fronting Cracker" and we love the laid-back grooves and scratchy vocals. Plus, there are some fine song titles: "Man in Russian Overcoat" and "Oh My Sweet Cantankerous Baby," just for starters. All this might motivate us to take a little trip out of town today. We will precede the show with some shopping at Holyoke Mall and follow it with some drinks (perhaps a One Eared Monkey Peach Lager) from Paper City Brewery. Yes, a trip to Holyoke: that's something to think about.
