Dancing Hipsters
-- Milwaukee's Juiceboxxx is a little bit Darby Crash, a little bit Biz Markie. He's a skinny white boy with a clutch of party raps up his sleeve. Sounds like a joke, but the dude is intense. He's back in Boston with a crew of likeminded DIY dance commanders from across the United States including Narwhalz, DJ Dog Dick, and Boston's own Ppalm. It's an exhilarating glimpse at the bared pysche of America's disaffected, hedonistic youth. P.A.'s Lounge, 345 Somerville Ave., Somerville, 8:30 p.m. $6/$9.
-- Sinden, half of an up-and-coming British house act, brings his hard drive to Boston tonight. It's a Basstown event and features DJs Hot Pink Delorean, Etan, and Die Young. Great Scott, 1222 Commonwealth Ave., 9 p.m. $10/$15.
Hippies
-- Gentle sounds and wizard crap are the order of the day in Jamaica Plain. Earth People Orchestra, a massive, pick-up ensemble previously known for weirding people out at the Green Street Orange Line station, opens. Prince Rama of Ayodhya, whose Myspace page is the gathering place for deer, Hindu gods, and European alchemistry, play that freak folk the kids are still listening to. Magma Divers, from faraway Brighton, play the kind of lo-fi bedroom guitar music that you loved in the early nineties and that, if you are Bostonist, you still love today. Milky Way Lounge, 403 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 9 p.m. Free.
