Static of the Gods Rehearsing for Departure

static.JPGLike UndergroundHipHop.com, the on-line rap music mecca that has a storefront at 234 Huntington Ave, local music blog Ryan's Smashing Life will transcend e-existence. They're hosting a show tomorrow at the Middle East Upstairs featuring Boston indie trio Static of the Gods.

Afterwards, Static of the Gods will be getting in an appropriately-sized vehicle and heading west for a string of shows in Texas and beyond. To celebrate, they've given Ryan's Smashing Life an exclusive MP3 of a directional demo called "True North." Tomorrow's tour kick-off will also feature New York City's Jacksonknife, Detroit's Child Bite, and Bostonian Eldridge Rodriguez.

Thursday, 9-25-08, $9, 8:45 p.m., 18+, 472 Mass Ave in Cambridge. A strangely hypnotic Static of the Gods video is after the jump.
