Sports Redux: Sweep Dreams?

Is anyone else a little fired up that the Sox could still win the East? If we sweep NY, and the Rays get swept in Detroit...wow! Or not. Whatever. The Sox kept their hopes alive by beating Cleveland, again, as Jon Lester took a no-hitter into the sixth en route to a 6-1 win.

Lester wasn't going to get a chance for the complete game, said Terry Francona, who had a strict pitch count in mind. "He was coming out...I told him that was the first time I've ever rooted against him." Way to fire up the troops, there, Tito. But we understand. Daisuke starts the Yankee series against some guy named Alfredo Aceves, weather permitting.

On to Bostonist's quick no-Patriots NFL picks, home team as always in caps: Minnesota over TENNESSEE, Denver over KC, NEW ORLEANS over San Francisco, Arizona over JETS (hee hee), Green Bay over TAMPA BAY (but neither one's as good as Jason Bay), Atlanta over CAROLINA, JACKSONVILLE over Houston, CINCINNATI over Cleveland, San Diego over OAKLAND (it will be funny to see if Kiffin gets fired after San Diego's first first down), Buffalo over ST LOUIS (Rams: 12 games from perfection), DALLAS over Washington, Philly over CHICAGO, PITTSBURGH over Baltimore.
