A man died in a fire at the Dorchester Yacht Club early this morning. A fellow boater called 911 after witnessing the flames. Firefighters arrived on the scene and were able to keep the fire, which affected an old-fashioned all-wood boat, from spreading to other crafts. The man has not officially been identified, but some people associated with the yacht club believe they know who he was. If they're right, the man had been helping out as a steward at the club recently. Our condolences to family and friends.
