Dancing, Ghoulish Hipsters

-- Thunderdome, the long-running hipster dance night, presents its Halloween party, Return to the Terrordome XII, featuring a showdown between dance crews Hearthrob and Mistaker. Greek American Political Club, 288 Green St., Cambridge, 10 p.m. $9.

Ghoulish Art Students

-- MassArt offers the niftiest setting in Boston for a Halloween party: an art installation. The Speaker Project is the venue where DJ Damian Silva spins dubstep, young art students dress in their finest bizarrerie, the beer flows for free, and an iPod goes to the best costume. Ghoulish Rich People

-- It might be the most expensive Halloween party in town. The ICA hosts a costume party fundraiser featuring DJ Francesca Spagna, an open bar, candy, and a costume contest. For the fancy people. Institute of Contemporary Art, South Boston, 9 p.m. $125/$100.

Ghoulish Drag Queens

-- If your Halloween costume aligns more closely to your sexual fetish or identity than to your primordial fears, you can seek out the likeminded at the Jacque's Cabaret Halloween Costume Contest. 79 Broadway, 10 p.m. $10.

Ghoulish Cyclists

-- Are you going as Mumbles on a Bike for Halloween this year? Your costume will make you the most popular participant in the 8th Annual Halloween Bike Ride. It starts in JP, but everybody in the city is welcome. Incorporate your bike helmet into your costume somehow; don't endanger your life for the sake of art. Ghoulish South Shore

-- Future Classic throws down in Quincy(!) for Halloween. The Shok Rok Halloween party features NYC DJ Oxy Cottontail and locals Frank White and Emarce. $200 prize for best costume. Club 58, 1515 Hancock St., Quincy, 8 p.m. $10.

Ghoulish Dykes

-- If you are a lady-loving lady, steer yourself to JP for a full-fledged costume ball, hosted by Dyke Night. Featuring DJ Kris Kono behind the wheels of steel and a four category costume contest. Milky Way Lounge, 403 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 9 p.m. $10.

Ghoulish Funk

-- No word on the costume situation, but if you want to throw down tonight, you could do worse than to catch neo-funk outfit Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings. Wilbur Theater, 246 Tremont St., 8 p.m. $27.50.

Ghoulish Funkadites

-- Farther down Tremont Street, there's a full-fledged funk costume party, complete with piñata, PBRs (2 for $3), and other goodies. The Funkadites perform. The Savant Project, 1625 Tremont St., 6 p.m. Free.
