In case you haven't heard (in which case you must not have the internet, so you're not reading this, anyway), That One will be our new president in 75 days (and the Dems won the House and Senate). As the Bush Administration tries to see how much damage it can do in that time, regular folks prepare for a change. Last night, in addition to acorn muffins, broadcast tests, and coloring, a few other things happened:
- Dianne Wilkerson officially lost that write-in campaign (no word on her resignation yet)
- Massachusetts voted no on 1, yes on 2 and 3
- Howie Carr soiled himself (not different from any other day, really)
- Al Franken did not concede; Minnesota will have a recount
- California re-banned gay marriage but protected animals
- The Sun elevated Obama over topless girls
- Alaska continued its proud tradition of complete insanity by voting in felon Ted Stevens
- The world reacted
- ...and much, much more.
We'll have updates on other interesting election developments throughout the day. But we're most excited to find out the answer to the burning question: purebred or pound pooch?
