If the Celtics have proven nothing else in the first games of the 2008-2009 season, it's that fans should never get overly worried when their team is down. On Friday night, Boston again found itself trailing early into play at the TD Banknorth Garden. The Celts again overcame that minor obstacle to handily defeat their opponent. The latest team to fall victim to the Green is the Bucks, who limped out of the venue after a 101-89 Friday night loss.
Paul Pierce led Celtic scoring with 18, but the truly beautiful thing about this win was that it wasn't a Big Three showing. In fact, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett were actually able to sit back and rest a bit. Tony Allen chipped in 13, Eddie House added 11, and Leon Powe contributed 10 to the effort. Consummate team victory.
