You might feel like Thanksgiving is far away, but there are only 16 days left until the foodie festivities begin. If you're new to Boston, spending your first Thanksgiving in the area after visiting family for years, or hosting your first Thanksgiving dinner on your own (yikes!), we wanted to help give you some tips on how to prepare for the big day. We'll be reviewing a few local grocery stores and their Thanksgiving offerings, as well as alternative Thanksgiving options (from veggie to budget--Turkey-flavored ramen?). Look for this feature to come next week.

While you wait (and salivate), check out Cambridge Common tonight for a Mayflower Brewing Company Beer Dinner featuring yummy Thanksgiving foods paired with Mayflower beers. Maybe it'll give you some inspiration for your own spread. Full menu after the jump.
