Tylenol, the drug, will offer free cab rides in the City of Boston from November 17 to November 23, leaving from various convenient CVS locations. It's a promotion for Tylenol's new creepily named product, Warming Liquids. The catch? The rides are only available from noon to 8 p.m., an inconvenience that prompted the following exchange at Bostonist HQ:
Bostonist 1: Who needs a cab between noon and 8pm?
Bostonist 2: Think they'll go to Eastie?
Bostonist 1: It says "anywhere in Boston" [on the press release]. I think you should take this cab to Eastie just to publish a photo of the cab driver's unwilling and furious face on Bostonist.
Bostonist 3: I could see peeps wanting to take a cab home vs. the subway at 5pm-ish.
Bostonist 1: Except that it would take twice as long?
Bostonist 4: But it would be free and your face wouldn't be mashed in some dude's armpit.
Bostonist 1: You must be taking different cabs than I have been taking.
Bostonist 5: There are cabs where you're mashed in some dude's armpit?
Bostonist 1: Metaphorically, yes.
Bostonist 3: Metaphorically? Like, we are all being mashed in the armpit of the divine or something?
Bostonist 4: Can we post this conversation?

liquor is the only warming liquid i need.
Just saw 4 of those cars at Downtown Crossing. Tried to get a ride for me and my mom, and they told us that the city of Boston shut them down today. They were reduced to hanging out in front of CVS and handing out coupons.
Anyone know why?
