082007_BostonPD.jpg-- Boston Police Superintendent Robert Dunford is the subject of a internal affairs investigation after he allegedly pressured the Police Academy to turn a blind eye while his buddy, a drill instructor, had an illicit affair with one of his recruits. No formal rule prohibits Boston cops from getting together with other Boston cops, but the drill instructor's position of authority would leave open charges of sexual harassment if the allegations are true.
