Boston Blotter: BPD Makes a Clutch of Arrests

082007_BostonPD.jpg-- Boston police may have a solved a 24-year-old murder. Today, they arrested Sultan Omar Chezulu, a 60-year-old Atlanta man in connection with the 1984 murder of 18-year-old Roxbury girl Elsie "Yolanda" Hernandez, who was found strangled to death. [BPDNews]

-- Yesterday, Boston police arrested two in connection with a shooting at Codman Square in Dorchester. The victim was a 19-year-old man who suffered life-threatening injuries. The suspects arrested were a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl accomplice. [BPDNews]

-- Last night, Boston police arrested four kids who allegedly held up a boy at Boston Bowl in Dorchester. [BPDNews]

-- And elsewhere in Dorchester, police arrested five men who robbed a victim of $25, whom they promptly declared "broke as a joke." [BPDNews]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
