Boston Blotter: Pair Nabbed for Somerville Robberies

crime_scene_tape.jpg-- A Medford couple was arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies that had targeted women in Somerville. Police say that Vincent Anthony Primo, 40, robbed three women using a screwdriver. Primo allegedly stabbed two of the women, one of whom sustained life threatening injuries but has since recovered. Primo's alleged accomplice, Kim Marie Szathmary, a 41-year-old Somerville woman, used credit cards stolen in the robbery at the Somerville Target, according to police. [Somerville Journal]

-- The Dorchester Eagles Pop Warner football team threw down with rivals from Cranston, R.I. at the Pop Warner national championships this weekend. Both teams were evicted from their hotel rooms and face sanctions. [Herald]

-- Glenn A. Marshall the former head of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe who had resigned his position last year after winning the tribe federal recognition was charged today on a number of counts related to illegal campaign contributions. Marshall was allegedly involved with disgraced political financier/lobbyist Jack Abramoff. [Herald]

-- A man from Vermont brought his gun to Logan Airport, police say. [Suffolk County D.A.]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
