<description>&lt;p&gt;In the Globe&apos;s defense (I&apos;m rarely in a position to say that), the story in Scituate was about a house blowing up and the Barnstable story was about a dude who found a dead body on fire, neither of which you should expect the Globe to ignore. 

But your point is sound. It&apos;s not rare to see stories of suburban ennui pushing murders in the city off the front page.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Maybe if the Boston Globe covered news in Boston, it wouldn&apos;t fall quite so hard.  Look at the datelines on B1 of today&apos;s paper -- the news articles are out of Scituate and Barnstable, the column is out of Weston, and one-half of the two local stories is on city pools closing ... in the middle of December.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
