Blotter Siren -- Christine A. McCallum, an fifth grade teacher at Woodsdale Elementary School in Abington, pleaded not guilty to charges that she raped a 13-year-old boy. Authorities claim that McCallum had acted as the victim's surrogate mother, a relationship that eventually progressed to a sexual affair. McCallum, who is married, had been the teacher of the boy's brother before the alleged affair began. She stands accused on three counts of rape. [Globe]
